Sticky Chocolate Cake


Okay so here’s the deal, this cake is: easy, moist, sticky, chocolaty, and delicious. (See mouthwatering picture above) Now go make it and curse me later.


Sticky Chocolate Cake (adapted from Swedish Chocolate Cake):

Serves 6-8 (depending on how generous you’re feeling)

10 tbsp unsalted butter

1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

3/4 cup granulated sugar

1/2 cup brown sugar

1/2 tsp salt

2 tsp vanilla extract

1 cup all-purpose flour

3 eggs

3/4 cup mini-chocolate chips

  1. Preheat your oven to 350˚F. Lightly butter and flour an 8-in cake pan with removable sides. Set aside.
  2. In a medium saucepan, over medium heat, melt the butter and remove from heat.
  3. Stir in cocoa powder, sugars, salt, vanilla extract, flour and eggs until smooth.
  4. Mix in chocolate chips and pour batter into prepared pan.
  5. Bake for 30-35 min (you want it slightly under baked for that gooey goodness).
  6. Allow to cool in pan and serve warm.
